Meeting of the Council for Education and Student Affairs No. (230)

Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, the Council of Education and Student Affairs held its 230th session, chaired by Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and attended by the esteemed members of the Council, on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the University's Central Library.

Prof. Sherif El-Attar explained that the Council was informed of the minutes of the Committee for Reviewing Academic Regulations, specifically regarding the regulations for the Geocartography Information and Marine Surveying program, within the Department of Geographical Studies at the Institute of Research and Strategic Studies for Nile Basin Countries.

In addition, the Council was informed of Resolution No. (52) of the Faculty of Sports Science Council, dated December 11, 2025, approving amendments to certain courses at the fourth level of the Sports Training program, within the Bachelor's degree regulations under the credit-hour system.

The Faculty of Science Council, in Resolution No. (384) dated November 16, 2025, approved the proposal submitted by the Departments of Zoology and Botany to add a new fee-based course entitled Applied Microbiology and Immunology to the Faculty of Science's credit-hour system.

The Council was also informed of the letter from the Dean of the Faculty of Law regarding the proposal to activate the Faculty's internal regulations concerning the calculation of student grades throughout all years of study, based on the cumulative grade point average (GPA), effective from the current academic year 2025/2026.
