The launch of the second call for proposals
for the EU-African Union Long-Term Partnership
Programme for Sustainable Energy Research and Innovation (LEAP-SE 2026)
The programme
offers funding of up to €300,000 per project from the Egyptian side, aiming to
support partnerships between Europe and Africa and promote research and
innovation in areas including:

Renewable energy integration strategies.
·
Energy component impact management and recycling.
·
Smart systems and grids development.
·
Creative solutions for clean cooking and cold chains.
·
Green hydrogen utilization using sustainable methods.
Program
application stages:
Phase 1
(Pre-Proposal): Until February 5, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
Phase 2 (Full
Proposal): Until June 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
