The Science, Technology, and Innovation Funding
Authority (STDF), in cooperation with the French Embassy in Egypt, announce the
opening of applications for the 12th call for applications for its Postdoctoral
Research Program.
This program offers practical training in laboratories
in France.
The program aims to strengthen cooperation between the
two countries in areas of mutual interest, such as energy, agriculture, health
and medical research (only research-related applications are accepted), earth
and space sciences, physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, engineering
sciences, artificial intelligence and computer science, data science,
communication technologies, biotechnology, and nanotechnology.
Program Benefits:
Duration of stay: 6 months.
Coverage: Airfare, living expenses, and insurance.
Requirements: Applicants must be:
- Egyptian citizens.
- Hold a PhD degree obtained within the
last 10 years.
- Applicants must not exceed 45 years
of age by the application deadline.
- Possess the ability to speak and
write in French or English at a level appropriate to the research project
requirements.
- Must not have previously benefited
from a travel grant to France offered by the Egyptian government.
- Must not be participating in another
project currently funded by the French government.
The deadline for submitting grant applications is
January 18, 2026.
