Launch of the Ideal Student Competition Across University Colleges

Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, inaugurated the Ideal Student Competition for all university faculties. The competition, organized by the General Administration for Student Welfare, was held on Monday, December 1, 2025, in the university's main celebration hall. Also in attendance were Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities, members of the judging panel, many deans and vice deans, faculty members, staff, and the participating students.

Prof. Sherif El-Attar emphasized the importance of the competition, noting that it brings together outstanding students from various fields. Students are evaluated based on their academic excellence, participation in student activities both within and outside the university, as well as their ethical, behavioral, and cultural contributions, and their volunteer work.

He noted that the competition includes several tests, including a written exam in computer skills and general knowledge, a presentation, and assessments of personal attributes, appearance, and general culture, in addition to Arabic and English language proficiency. He encouraged participating students to take advantage of this experience to exchange expertise, develop themselves, and learn from their professors and peers.

For her part, Prof. Nahla Abdel Rahim, a professor at the Faculty of Social Work and a member of the judging panel, explained that the competition provides an opportunity to connect with a distinguished generation of young people from Fayoum University, characterized by creativity, excellence, dedication, diligence, patience, and hard work to achieve their goals. She pointed out that the university's students possess significant creative abilities and consistently achieve top rankings among various Egyptian universities.

Prof. Wael Tobar further explained that 32 male and female students representing different faculties of the university are participating in the competition. He emphasized that its primary objective is to instill positive values ​​such as discipline, leadership, teamwork, and respect and acceptance of others.
