The seminar took place on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Central Library.

Prof. Sherif Al-Attar emphasized the importance of promoting citizenship values in building societies, stating that constructive dialogue is a fundamental pillar for the progress of nations. He added that educational institutions, especially universities, bear a significant responsibility in instilling these values in young people to protect them from any misleading intellectual or cultural invasion. He expressed his hope that such meetings would contribute to raising awareness and elevating students' thinking.

Prof. Mohamed Kamal explained that the term "citizenship" simplifies a reciprocal relationship based on a shared contract between two parties: a natural party, the individual, and a political party, the state. He continued that a culture of dialogue is the optimal path to societal and institutional integration, but within certain parameters, the most important of which are awareness, listening, research, and acceptance of diversity. He added that developing a culture of dialogue requires a deep understanding of the foundations of human communication and respect for differing opinions, and that accepting differences does not weaken national identity but rather strengthens social cohesion.

Prof. Mohamed Hashem praised the fruitful cooperation between the university and the Fayoum Media Complex in organizing events that serve community and youth issues, in line with Egypt's 2030 strategy. He added that Egypt is a young nation, and its strength lies in its youth. He stressed the need to prepare a generation with strong minds and intellects to continue the development process in the new republic.

Ms. Hanan Hamdy affirmed that the power of change comes from young people due to their energy and enthusiasm. She stated that this seminar aims to activate and strengthen this role within society by discussing the values of citizenship and dialogue, thus contributing to preparing a generation capable of facing contemporary challenges.
