The Science, Technology, and Innovation Funding
Authority (STDF) announces
in cooperation with the Japan Society for the
Promotion of Science (JSPS)
the opening of applications for scientific
cooperation programs between Egypt and Japan.
This initiative aims to enhance research
collaboration and the exchange of expertise between researchers from both
countries through the following programs:
First: Joint Scientific Cooperation Projects
(Exchange Visits):
The main objective of this program is to
support exchange visits between Egyptian and Japanese scientists within the
framework of a joint research project.
The program lasts for up to two years, with
funding of up to EGP 1,500,000 for the Egyptian side (EGP 750,000/year).
Second: Workshops and Scientific Seminars:
This program aims to facilitate the
organization of a workshop or travel to attend a workshop.
Funding of up to EGP 450,000 is available for
the Egyptian side for a maximum duration of one week.
The deadline for applications is September 3,
2026, at 2:00 PM Cairo time.
