Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, attended the Heritage Tent and "Wear What You Like" Carnival, organized across the university's faculties under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Central Library.
The
event was also attended by Ms. Salwa Ahmed Fouad, Director General of the
Student Welfare Department, several directors of student welfare departments
from various faculties, administrators, and a large number of students.
It is worth noting that the Heritage Tent and "Wear What You Like" Carnival are being held for the first time at Fayoum University. The event aims to highlight the diversity of Egyptian cultural heritage throughout the ages. Students from different faculties presented displays depicting various Egyptian environments through costumes representing Bedouin attire, rural clothing, Nubian dress, Upper Egyptian galabeya, and Pharaonic-era garments.
The
carnival also included an exhibition of handicrafts created by students,
showcasing their artistic skills and talents in working with different
materials. The participating works will be evaluated by a judging panel that
includes Dr. Ahmed Salah from the Faculty of Specific Education, and Dr. Rasha
Taha Abbas, a lecturer at the Faculty of Archaeology, to select the best
colleges participating in the event.
