Under
the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, Prof. Assem Fouad El-Essawy, Vice
President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development
and Supervisor of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector, announced that
Fayoum University raised two places to become one of the top 100 Arab
universities according to the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings
2026.
He
noted that the university has achieved remarkable progress in the Times Higher
Education Arab University Rankings 2026.
The
university ranked 99th among the top 268 universities in the Arab
world, representing 18 Arab countries, advancing two places from last year. At
the national level, the university ranked 17th among Egyptian
universities.
He
added that this ranking assesses universities based on the five main criteria
of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, with some adjustments
to the relative weight of each criterion to better reflect the trends in the
Arab region. These criteria are: Teaching (29.5%), Research Environment (29%),
Research Quality (30%), Industry (4%), and International Outlook (7.5%).
