Under
the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and
the supervision of Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service
and Environmental Development and Supervisor of the Postgraduate Studies and
Research Sector, the Arab University Ranking announced the results of its third
edition for 2025. The ranking featured a competitive participation of 285
universities representing 20 countries across the Arab world.
Fayoum
University achieved a new milestone by appearing among the top 100 Arab
universities, ranking 67th overall and 14th among Egyptian public universities.
The
Arab University Ranking, issued by the General Secretariat of the League of
Arab States, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization
(ALECSO), the Association of Arab Universities, and the Federation of Arab
Scientific Research Councils, is the first specialized ranking for evaluating
Arab universities. Its indicators were developed in accordance with the vision
and needs of Arab countries.
The
ranking methodology is based on four main indicators: the Education and
Learning Index (300 points), the Scientific Research Index (400 points), the
Creativity, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Index (150 points), and the
International and Local Cooperation and Community Service Index (150 points).
These indicators are determined according to criteria related to the quality of
education, scientific research, innovation, academic collaboration, and
societal impact.
