Prof.
Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, attended the awards
ceremony for the Holy Quran competition for university employees and their
children, organized by the university's sports committee. Also present were
Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Mr.
Ahmed Rashad, Secretary General of the University; Mr. Amr Abdel-Fattah Mady,
Assistant Secretary General for Financial Affairs and Chairman of the Board of
Directors of the University Employees' Sports Committee; members of the Sports
Committee; faculty members; members of the competition's judging panel; and
directors and administrators. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, November
11, 2026, in the university's main celebrtation hall.
Prof.
Yasser Magdy Hatata affirmed that the administration of Fayoum University fully
understands that human development is not limited to academic achievement or
job performance, but extends to cultivating character and instilling values
and ethics. He emphasized that this celebration is among the most cherished
events, and that supporting such activities stems from a deep belief in the
university's role not only as an educational institution, but also as a beacon
for building well-rounded individuals—intellectually, morally, and ethically.
He
commended all those who contributed to organizing this celebration, including
the sports committee and the General Administration of Public Relations and
Media, for their efforts and dedication in ensuring its success and reflecting
the prestige of Fayoum University and all its members.
Prof.
Sherif El-Attar further explained that the celebration clearly embodies the
ongoing communication between the Fayoum University administration, its
employees, and their children. He noted that it is an event that reflects a
spirit of optimism and unity through cooperation and dedication to work, which
are essential values. He praised the outstanding performance of the employees
and their children participating in the competition, who deserve all
appreciation and recognition. Mr. Ahmed Rashad pointed out that this
celebration embodies the highest meanings of appreciation and pride in the people
of the Quran, whom God has chosen to carry His Book in their hearts. This
ceremony is not only to celebrate a great achievement, but also a celebration
of a noble value and high standing. Memorizing the Holy Quran is a great honor
and a tremendous blessing, a testament to strong determination and sincere
will. It also reflects a wholesome family environment that has instilled in its
children a love for the Book of God and a keenness to connect with it through
recitation, memorization, and contemplation. The true investment is in human
beings, and the greatest investment is in the Book of God Almighty. The Holy
Quran is the authentic source of these values. Hence the importance of this
celebration, which affirms the university's commitment to supporting everything
that strengthens identity and positive values in its community. He offered
his congratulations to all those who have completed memorizing the Book of God,
or a part of it, from among the university staff and their children, as they
are shining examples to be emulated in diligence, discipline, and balance
between the demands of life and their connection to the Book of Allah.
Mr. Amr
Mady stated that this celebration aims to honor a distinguished group of
memorizers of the Holy Quran from among the staff of Fayoum University and
their children, in a scene overflowing with light, pride, and honor. He
emphasized that this recognition is not merely a fleeting event, but rather a
message of appreciation and gratitude to all who have made the Holy Quran a
guiding principle in their lives and a light illuminating their path. The Holy
Quran is the foundation of values and ethics, the true source of human
development, and it elevates souls, refines behavior, and instills the meanings
of sincerity, discipline, and diligence.
He
continued, saying that Fayoum University is proud to have among its staff and
their children those who carry the words of God Almighty in their hearts,
combining their professional or academic duties with memorizing the Holy Quran.
This is a great achievement deserving of all appreciation and praise. They are
shining examples that confirm that excellence is not limited to one aspect over
another, but rather that the balance between work and worship, and between
striving in this world and connecting with the Quran, is the secret to true
distinction.
During
the ceremony, the winners of the Holy Quran competition were announced. In the
category of memorizing the entire Holy Quran, Mr. Moustafa Muhammad Abdul
Sattar won first place among the employees, Mr. Abdullah Shaaban Abdullah came
in second, and Ms. Aya Ramadan Adly took third place.
In the
category of memorizing the entire Holy Quran among the employees' children,
Ahmed Mo'men Ahmed came in first place, Shaimaa Ahmed Badawi came in second,
and Hossam El-Din Ahmed Abdullah took third place.
As for
the category of memorizing 15 parts, Shahd Alaa Abdul Tawwab came in first
place, Aya Mohsen Abdul Fattah came in second, and Salsabeel Dabiki Abdul Halim
took third place.
In the
category of memorizing 10 parts, Reem Rabie Abdul Salam came in first place,
Sama Ahmed Ahmed came in second, and Raghad Rabie Abdul Salam took third place.
In the
category of memorizing 5 parts, Juwayriya Muhammad Hassan won first place,
Hazem Abdullah Ali came in second, and
Khaled Hossam El-Din Ali took third place.
During
the ceremony, members of the university's sports committee were honored, as
were members of the competition's judging panel, in addition to honoring all
participants in the competition from among the university's employees and their
children.
