Fayoum University Organizes Field Visit to Anshas Parachute Unit

Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and the supervision of Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Popular and Military Defense Forces, in cooperation with Fayoum University, organized a student visit to the Parachute Units Command in Anshas on Monday, February 16, 2026.

Prof. Sherif El-Attar stated that the visiting delegation included several faculty members, administrators, and 30 male and female students. The visit is part of a series of field visits aimed at instilling values ​​of loyalty and belonging and cultivating a spirit of patriotism among students.

Colonel Ahmed Hendam, Director of the Military and National Education Department at Fayoum University, explained that the visit began with welcoming the university delegation and attending a lecture on the establishment and development of the Parachute Units. This was followed by a visit to the historical hall, which commemorates the heroism and sacrifices of paratroopers during the wars fought by Egypt.

The visit also included a freefall demonstration by the students, showcasing the capabilities of the Egyptian Special Forces and their constant readiness to confront any challenges or threats facing the nation.

They also observed various training activities conducted by the paratroopers, including close-quarters combat and self-defense techniques. The students toured the air column room, the basic jump wing, and the air assault training area, and participated in physical fitness drills tailored to different age groups and physical abilities.

At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude to the Armed Forces for their efforts in maintaining national security, praising the high combat capabilities of the paratroopers.

The students expressed their immense satisfaction at attending these camps, which contribute to boosting morale, enhancing their military knowledge, and familiarizing them with the combat capabilities of the paratrooper units. They also declared their desire to fulfill their dream and the honor of serving in the Egyptian Armed Forces.
