Under the patronage
of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and the
supervision of Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student
Affairs, the Scientific and Technological Activities Department, within the General
Administration for Student Welfare, organized the "Golden Flute"
Quran recitation competition for university students. The two-day competition
was held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at the Central Library, with the
participation of the judging panel, which included Dr. El-Sayed Ahmed
El-Haddad, Dr. Ehab Khaled Saad, and Dr. Omar Gomaa, faculty members from the
Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom, as well as the participating students.
It is
worth noting that the competition aims to select the best voices in reciting
the Holy Quran. The judging criteria include evaluating mastery of the rules of
recitation, skillful transitions between melodic modes, vocal quality, and
accuracy of recitation.
