Under
the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University,
Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs,
announced the commencement of studies this year in the Petroleum and Water
Geology program at the Faculty of Science and the Physical Education Teacher
Preparation program for students with special needs at the Faculty of Sports
Science for the academic year 2026/2027.
Prof.
Sherif El-Attar explained that the Physical Education Teacher Preparation
program for students with special needs is a specialized academic program
designed to prepare qualified physical education teachers, both scientifically
and professionally, to work with individuals with special needs and help them
integrate and develop. The program is distinguished by its provision of
practical training in specialized institutions and centers, in addition to
integrating sports knowledge with special education methods, and awarding an
accredited certificate that qualifies graduates for the local and international
job market.
He
noted that career opportunities include special education schools, various
disability centers, physical and psychological rehabilitation centers, sports
clubs, youth organizations, centers for the care of people with special needs,
universities, institutes, research centers, NGOs, and charitable organizations.
Graduates will also be involved in designing and implementing adaptive sports
programs and raising awareness and educating the community in the field of
disability.
Admission
requirements include:
- The applicant must be an Egyptian citizen.

The applicant must hold a high
school diploma or its equivalent.

Students currently enrolled in the
first year at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Fayoum University, are eligible
for admission.

Transfer students from equivalent
colleges or institutes may be accepted according to the transfer requirements
stipulated by the Universities Organization Law and the Supreme Council of
Universities.

The applicant must pass the
admission tests, aptitude tests, and personal interview administered by the
academic department.

The applicant must pass a medical
examination.

The applicant must pass a personal
interview.

The program is for high school
graduates or current high school students and does not accept students with
disabilities.
As for
the Petroleum and Water Geology program at the Faculty of Science, it offers
specialized courses in oil and natural gas exploration and drilling, surface
water studies, and groundwater drilling and extraction. Students receive
training at major Egyptian and international oil, gas, and water companies. The
program regulations allow outstanding students to graduate before completing
four years of study. Graduates are awarded the title of Geological Engineer
upon accreditation from the Syndicate of Scientific Professions.
