In line
with the directives of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and
Scientific Research, to implement the presidential initiative
"Tamkeen" (Empowerment), launched by His Excellency President Abdel
Fattah El-Sisi, to promote the rights of people with disabilities and support
their full integration into the university community, and under the auspices of
Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, and the supervision
of Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President of the University for Community
Service and Environmental Development, the University's Disability Unit
organized a workshop as part of the "Tamkeen" presidential initiative
activities under the slogan "Together Towards an Inclusive Future,"
to support students with disabilities. The workshop's activities will continue
from October 25th to 30th at Fayoum University.
This took place on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025,
at the Center's headquarters, in the presence of Dr. Rania Shaaban, Director of
the University's Center for Student Services for People with Disabilities, and
a number of administrators and students.
During the event, the students were welcomed at
the center, where Dr. Rania Shaaban gave a detailed presentation on the
services it provides, including assistive devices for students with various
disabilities, both hearing and visual. She also introduced the
"Tamkeen" initiative and its objectives, which aim to encourage
students with disabilities to integrate and actively participate in the
university community.
