Under
the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, the
Community Service and Environmental Development Council held its 216th meeting,
chaired by Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and
Environmental Development, and attended by the esteemed members of the Council,
on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the University's Central Library.
Prof.
Assem El-Essawy noted that the Council was informed of the Community Service
and Environmental Development sector's intention to organize free medical
convoys for several associations within Fayoum Governorate. These convoys,
aimed at serving the elderly, will include various medical and nursing
specialties.
The
Council was also informed of the training courses organized by the University
through the Public Service Center for Local Community Development, in
cooperation with the Military Academy for Graduate and Strategic Studies. These
courses are for faculty members, staff, students, and the wider community, and
include a course on national security, strategy, and education; a
training-of-trainers course; and an educational course on cybersecurity,
artificial intelligence, technological development and its impact on national
security, and methods of confronting modern warfare.
In
addition to discussing the activities of the Community Service and
Environmental Development sector, as well as the work of centers and units, a
number of protocols and cooperation agreements were presented to entities
wishing to collaborate with the Community Service and Environmental Development
sector.
