Prof. Sherif Mohamed Sabry
El-Attar, Acting President of Fayoum University and Vice President for
Education and Student Affairs, accompanied by Prof. Assem Fouad El-Essawy, Vice
President for Community Service and Environmental Development, conducted an
inspection visit to the crop, livestock, and poultry production farms in Demo—facilities
affiliated with the Agricultural Research and Experimentation Center at the
Faculty of Agriculture.
The visit took place on Sunday,
October 25, 2026, and was attended by Prof. Bouthaina Youssef Zidan, Dean of
the Faculty of Agriculture; Mr. Ahmed Rashad, Secretary-General of the
University; Prof. Shaaban Saad El-Nasr, Vice Dean for Community Service and
Environmental Development; and Prof. Ahmed Imam, Director of the Agricultural
Research and Experimentation Center.
This visit aligns with the
university’s commitment to advancing its educational, research, and production
processes, while strengthening their role in supporting the academic and
scientific research ecosystem and serving the community. It also reflects a
focus on monitoring operations across various production sectors, assessing
existing capabilities and ongoing activities, and identifying opportunities for
development and production expansion—all aimed at enhancing operational
efficiency and maximizing the utilization of the center’s agricultural and
production resources.
The inspection tour included a
visit to the crop production farms to review agricultural activities and the
various crops under cultivation, as well as the livestock and poultry
production units, where the delegation examined the systems in place for animal
husbandry, care, and production—highlighting the diverse range of productive
activities carried out at the Agricultural Research and Experimentation Center.
This tour holds particular significance given the role played by the
Agricultural Research and Experimentation Center—a scientific, applied, and
productive hub within the university. It serves as an integrated environment
that bridges academic studies with practical application, supports field
training for students, and leverages scientific research findings to advance
agricultural production methods.
The tour also reflects the
commitment of Fayoum University’s administration to maximizing the economic and
scientific value of agricultural projects, developing the university’s own
resources, and promoting the optimal use of available human and technical
potential—all in support of the university’s drive toward sustainable
development.
Furthermore, through the Agricultural Research and
Experimentation Center at the Faculty of Agriculture, Fayoum University
continues its efforts to develop various production sectors, foster integration
between research, applied, and productive activities, and contribute to
community service and environmental development.
