Prof. Sherif
El-Attar, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, attended the
closing ceremony and awards presentation for the ninth season of the Genius
League, organized by the General Administration for Student Welfare across all
university faculties. The league took place from November 10th to 12th,
2025, and the ceremony was held under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy
Hatata, President of Fayoum University, on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025, at
the university's central library.
The ceremony was
also attended by Prof. Wael Tobar, General Coordinator of Student Activities,
Ms. Salwa Fouad, Director General of Student Welfare, and a number of
administrators and students.
Prof. Sherif
El-Attar emphasized that Fayoum University places great importance on the
talents and abilities of its students and is committed to nurturing and
supporting them, recognizing their crucial role in developing well-rounded and
balanced university students. He urged students to actively participate in
various student activities, whether cultural, artistic, or athletic,
emphasizing that engaging in these activities is an essential part of
university life and contributes to developing students' skills and refining
their abilities.
For his part,
Prof. Wael Toubar expressed his delight with this event, which combined
enjoyment, knowledge, competition, and creativity. He explained that such
competitions contribute to discovering outstanding student models
intellectually and culturally, and enhance the spirit of teamwork and
belonging. Furthermore, they provide an opportunity to gain experience, develop
self-confidence, and hone talents.
The first stage
of the Genius League included competition among 17 colleges, with 10 colleges
advancing to the second stage. Ultimately, four colleges qualified to compete
for the top three positions: the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and
Nursing.
The final results were as follows:
First Place: Faculty of Medicine
Second Place: Faculty of Nursing
Third Place: Faculty of Pharmacy
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Prof. Sherif
El-Attar presented the first-place trophy to the Faculty of Medicine team,
along with certificates of appreciation and cash prizes for the top three teams.
