Under
the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University,
Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental
Development and Supervisor of Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Sherif El-Attar, Vice President for
Education and Student Affairs, received the team from the National Authority
for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education during their visit to the
Faculty of Tourism and Hotels.
The
team was headed by Prof. Samy Mandour, Professor of Languages and Translation
at Al-Azhar University, and
included Prof. Lamia Mostafa, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Matrouh
University; Prof. Hoda Qandil, Professor of Tourism Guidance at Suez Canal
University; and Prof. Doaa Samir, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs
at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Mansoura University. Also Prof. Ashraf
Abdel-Maaboud, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Fayoum University,
and Prof. Tamer Magdy, Director of the Quality Assurance and Strategic Planning
Center at the University, were present. The visit took place on Sunday,
December 7, 2025.
It is
worth mentioning that the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Fayoum University
has submitted a request to the National Authority for Quality Assurance and
Accreditation of Education to obtain institutional accreditation for the
faculty, in addition to program accreditation for the "Tourist Guidance
Program," especially in light of the university administration's keenness
on the importance of faculties obtaining institutional and program
accreditation in order to ensure the quality of education and keep pace with
various developments.
