Under
the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata, President of Fayoum University, the
Council of Postgraduate Studies, Cultural Relations, and Research held its 229th
session, chaired by Prof. Assem Fouad El-Essawy, Vice President of the
University for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor
of the Postgraduate Studies, Cultural Relations, and Research Sector, in the
presence of the esteemed members of the Council. The meeting took place on
Sunday, July 19, 2026, in the conference hall of the Institute of Research and
Strategic Studies for Nile Basin Countries.
The
council discussed the proposed amendments to the Fayoum University awards
regulations, in addition to the proposed loan guide, the proposed rules
regulating the affairs of international students in postgraduate studies, as
well as discussing the two proposed regulations for the professional diploma in
applied social statistics (credit hour system), and the professional diploma in
clinical sociology (credit hour system) at the Faculty of Arts.
The
council also approved the registration of some academic degrees, the number of
which reached (51) Master’s degrees and (14) PhDs in the various colleges of
the university, and discussed the other topics included in the agenda.
