Under the patronage of Prof. Yasser Magdy Hatata,
President of Fayoum University, Prof. Assem Al-Essawy, Vice President for
Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of the Faculty
of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, attended the reception
ceremony for new students at the Faculty on Monday, October 6, 2025. The
ceremony was attended by Prof. Sherine Tayea, Vice Dean for Postgraduate
Studies, Prof. Moustafa Rabie, Head of the Computer Science Department, Prof.
Rasha Al-Badry, Head of the Information Systems Department, Dr. Ahmed Salama,
Student Activities Coordinator at the Faculty, and a number of faculty members,
staff, and students.
Prof. Assem Al-Essawy emphasized that the
university stage is one of the most important stages a student goes through in
their life, as it equips them with teamwork skills and responsibility. He
called on students to actively participate in student activities in various
fields, while ensuring regular attendance at lectures and making an effort in
academic achievement. He highlighted the university administration's commitment
to providing full support to all students. Prof. Sherine Tayea also highlighted
the importance of students taking specialized training courses that contribute
to developing their skills and preparing them for the job market. She
emphasized the need to continue learning and acquiring knowledge, which will
provide them with diverse job opportunities. The meeting featured an
introductory presentation on the academic programs offered by the college.
Prof. Rasha El-Badry explained that the Computer
Science and Artificial Intelligence major is one of the vital specializations
in demand in the local and global labor market, provided that graduates possess
the skills and attributes that qualify them to compete in this field.
For his part, Prof. Moustafa Rabie urged students
to work hard and persevere to create a better future for themselves and their
community, noting the academic and ethical excellence of students in the
Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Ahmed Salama also congratulated the new
students, urging them to adhere to university values, positive behavior and to
work hard to achieve their ambitions and goals, setting an example for their
colleagues in other colleges. On the sidelines of the ceremony, outstanding
students in student activities were honored, along with a number of employees
in the Student Welfare administration and Education and Student Affairs Sector,
in appreciation of their efforts.
