Prof. Sherif Mohamed Sabry El-Attar, Acting
President of Fayoum University and Vice President for Education and Student
Affairs, presided over the start of the 2026/2027 academic year and the
welcoming of new and returning students with the national anthem. The event,
held today, Monday, September 21, 2026, on the university campus, was attended
by Prof. Assem El-Essawy, Vice President for Community Service and
Environmental Development; Mr. Ahmed Rashad, University Secretary-General; as
well as faculty deans, vice-deans, academic staff, administrators, and students.
Prof. Sherif El-Attar congratulated the
entire Fayoum University community on the start of the academic year,
confirming that all preparations to welcome students were completed and
emphasizing the commitment to overcoming any obstacles that might arise.
He urged students to uphold university values
and traditions, safeguard university assets, focus on their academic studies,
and participate in diverse student activities. He noted that the university
continuously strives to align academic curricula and research with labor market
needs, contribute to solving current societal issues, achieve digital
transformation and smart management, and support outstanding administrative and
academic personnel.
