Prof. Sherif
Mohamed Sabry El-Attar, Acting President of Fayoum University and Vice
President for Education and Student Affairs, inspected the university
dormitories and the Medical Administration today, Monday, September 21, 2026.
He
stated that 2,118 male and female students have been accommodated in the
university dormitories over the past two days, noting that the housing process
will continue sequentially until all accepted students are accommodated.
He also
verified the smooth progress of the housing process for both returning and new
students, as well as the readiness of the rooms—ensuring they are fully
equipped with necessary amenities and comforts—and urged students to preserve
the facilities and avoid damaging them.
During
his visit to the Medical Administration, Prof. El-Attar inspected the medical
examination procedures for new students joining the university this year, as
well as for those applying for dormitory housing; medical examinations are
conducted for all students accepted into the university dormitories.
The
Medical Administration oversees medical clinics within the faculties and
dormitories. It also issues medical examination and medication dispensing
authorizations, refers students to the university hospital, arranges necessary
medical tests, and dispenses monthly medications for chronic and acute
conditions through the student pharmacy, among other services.
The
visit was attended by Mr. Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Director General of University
Dormitories; Dr. Abeer El-Saifi, Director General of the University Medical
Administration; Mr. Ahmed Abu Bakr, Director of the University Dormitories
Department; and several dormitory staff members.
